FOUNDER, STANLEY CLARK

My name is Stanley Clark and I have lived in San Carlos Park for 12 years. Throughout this time, I began to fall in love with the community more and more. I had an idea to place American flags next to mailboxes in “The Park” to show respect for our community, and these United States of America.

We started on Independence Day 2020, with only five volunteers, placing OVER 400 small flags in and around the area. We now have three dedicated members, and a dozen or so volunteers, which have enabled our organization to place larger flags, in more areas, on six Federal Holidays; President’s Day, Memorial Day, Flag Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, and Veteran’s Day.

With additional assistance, we shall continue to grow, and hope to inspire a sense of patriotism in the community. We have no political agenda. We simply do this out of our respect for the United States and San Carlos Park. Please consider helping by: volunteering to place flags, sponsorship/a small donation, or both.

Thank You!

CO-FOUNDER, ROBERT BLAIR

Hello! My name is Robert Blair. Having heard, and liking Stan’s idea to place flags along the streets of our neighborhood, I decided to help him, in hopes of bolstering community spirit and patriotism. Together we formed San Carlos PROUD.

I’m a patriotic USAF Viet Nam Veteran, and am finding this endeavor a rewarding challenge.

I enjoy meeting new people and working as a team, so I hope you will join us as
a sponsor, volunteer or both. We are building a wonderful team, and I’d love to welcome you aboard!
